The ref 3893 is one of the lesser known Calatrava’s that Patek Philippe launched in 1980. This reference was produced in YG and WG with the latter being much rarer. There are two dial variations known to exist - the ivory and the white sector dial. This particular piece features a two piece 33mm case made of white gold. The dial is a beautiful ivory colored dial with perfect dauphine hands.
Overall this watch is in excellent condition. The case has some minor hairline scratches but is very sharp and has likely never been polished. There is a scratch on the side of the case which was most likely caused while trying to open the case. In addition, the caseback has some scratches too but the hallmarks are clearly visible. The ivory dial is in great condition with the original handset in immaculate shape. The original calatrava signed crown is crisp.
The service history of the movement is unknown. However, our watchmaker has thoroughly checked it and confirmed it is in good shape. The movement is currently running at -4.7 sec/day. The watch comes with its original Patek Philippe signed white gold buckle. The watch comes with a non original epsom black leather strap custom made for this Calatrava.
