This is an all original vintage 4520-8000 Grand Seiko employing the famour G.O.D (grammar of design) case design first introduced in the 44GS. This 45GS comes with its original box, guarantee booklet, and GS buckle. It is extremely rare for a 45GS to come with its box / papers and this is a chance to own a historic model with its lovely outer box signed with GS brand logo and wooden box along with its guarantee booklet which matches with the caseback serial.

Overall, this piece is in nice vintage condition. The case has some light scratches and bumps but we believe it has just been polished a few times in the past given that it retains sharp edges with a beautiful Tanaka grammar of design profile. The original silver/white dial is in very clean condition with few blemishes. There is some tiny spotting along the edge of the upper right side of the dial as can be seen from the picture. The handset and crown are all original and in good condition. The original caseback and gold medallion is in great condition. The watch comes with its period correct original Grand Seiko wooden box and outer box signed with a Grand Seiko logo. Both the wooden box and outer box is extremely rare and doesn't come up in the market often and has great value. It also comes with its guarantee booklet with the serial number printed matching that of the case back serial. The booklet is in Japanese explaining the GS standard and manual for its hibeat movement.

The movement was serviced by our watch maker in July 2021. It is currently running at an excellent +5.1 seconds per day in the upright position.
